The Order of Agilaz

Justice. Lightning. The colour silver.

Agilaz was a warrior of the far north, an exile whose homeland had been overrun by raiders. Some say it was he who first set the idea of the great expedition in the future emperor’s mind, hoping its spoils would buy back his home; whatever the truth, he marched at the head of the empire’s army and won his way north again. The Order that bears his name has kept to the cold marches and the high passes ever since, watching the empire’s roughest edges.

Agilaz knights fight as their founder did: fast and aggressive, striking with the leaping, chained fury of lightning and trusting speed where others trust weight of armor. Where the Order of Saatti consolidates and holds, Agilaz raids — hitting hard, hitting first, and gone before the counterblow lands.

On this frontier the Order backs rival claimants pressing down out of Severni Mars, against the Saatti-backed lords of Talinsthorpe. Its seat here is the fortress of Halgard, astride the only pass through the Spine.

The head of the Order, where one is acknowledged, bears the title Knight of Justice.
